Sari & Ian wedding at the Highlands in Garrison, NY

Sari & Ian's wedding was a total success story.  Besides it being close, if not over a 100 degrees, everyone was having a great time.  Sari & Ian had their wedding ceremony at the Highlands Country Club as well as their cocktail hour and reception.  The grounds at the Highlands Country Club are wonderful.  Their guests were able to mingle inside and out.  A very comfortable, laid back atmosphere,  but classy at the same time.  Adrienne, events manager, kept things moving,  and made it comfortable for everyone.  Always a smile on her face,  and a strong sense of confidence. Be sure to ask for her if you are considering this beautiful venue.   Sari & Ian were a joy to work with as well as their parents and family.  The reception was very elegant, lots of dancing,  and to top it off,  a fire burning and toasting marshmallows the last hour of the reception.  For the guys,  there was an expert cigar roller on hand for cigars at their best.   Good luck to both of you and congratulations!

Kate & Dave's Wedding

Kate and Dave's wedding yesterday, July 2nd at the Benmarl Winery in Marlboro, NY, Located in the Hudson Valley Region.  The day started with sunshine, and never stopped until the sun went down at night.  I started photographing David at the hotel in Poughkeepsie at 1pm.  Got there to catch him doing some last moment preparations.  Him and his dad helped each other with their ties, and off they went after a few candid shots in the room.  Off I went down the hall to Kate's room. A little more action happening here.  Champaign toasts,  a little music (maybe that was the TV on, cant remember), and the placing of the garter on the brides leg by her Mom.   The girls were excited to get on the road, and start the day rolling. The bride had a little sentimental piece tied to her flowers which belonged to her mom.  I am always looking for those details that mean a lot to the bride and her family.  Detail shots are very important to setting the tone and the feel of what the day is about.  Their ceremony was beautiful, and ended with REAL RICE being tossed onto Kate and David.  Not bubbles, rose pedals, butterflies, but plain traditional rice.  I love it, but not  to common nowadays.  Their Reception at the Winery was wonderful.   The landscape,  and view at Benmarl Winery is one of the best along the Hudson Valley Region.  The food was prepared by Pamela's Traveling Feast. The friendly professional service,  and  food was some of the best. I have to say, the day was a great success.  The Bride and Groom were so nice.  I loved working with them, their parents, and with their bridal party.  Congratulations to both of you, and enjoy the honeymoon!  All the Best, Michael
